Dr. Bansal is an associate professor of management information systems (MIS) and statistics at the UW-Green Bay, Austin E. Cofrin School of Business. He received his PhD in MIS from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His research interests are in the areas of information security and privacy, trust, and data mining. Dr. Bansal’s research has been published in premier MIS journals such as the Journal of Management Information Systems, the European Journal of Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, and the Journal of Computer Information Systems, among others. His research has been nominated for best paper award at International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) and Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS), and has won several best paper awards at Midwest Association of Information Systems (AIS) conferences as well. Dr. Bansal served as conference co-chair for the 7th Midwest AIS Conference in 2012 and also as president of the Midwest Association for Information Systems in 2014–15. He currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of the Midwest Association for Information Systems (JMWAIS). Before starting his academic career, Dr. Bansal worked as quality-assurance executive for General Motors India and Daewoo Motors India.
